  | Yu-Gi-Oh! Trap Cards will help you out with different effects, just like Spell Cards. The big difference between them is that you can activate Trap Cards during your opponent's turn. Many Spell Cards have effects useful for offense, but Trap Cards have the ability to surprise the opponent by disrupting their attacks and strategies. Using Trap Cards can sometimes be tricky, since your opponent might have to do certain things before you can unleash them. |

 | | Normal Trap Cards Has single-use effects and once their effects are resolved, they will be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Once activated, their effects are not likely to be stopped.

| | | Continuous Trap Cards Remains on the field once they are activated and their effects continue while they are face-up on the field. They can have effects that limit your opponent's options.

| |
| | | | Counter Trap Cards Are normally activated in response to the activation of other cards, and may have abilities like negating the effects of those cards.

YU-GI-OH! DUELING TIP
"RELOAD" YOUR HAND Sometimes you will get a bad hand, no matter how well you shuffle or how good your Deck is. You may get an opening hand with no monsters and all Spell Cards. "Reload" can be a big help in times like this. It lets you shuffle your hand into your Deck and then draw that many cards. Now you can see a better mix of cards. "Reload" is even more important in a Deck that relies on specific card combinations. If you have one part of the combo, Set that card face-down and then activate "Reload" and hopefully you will grab the remaining cards you need. - click here for another Dueling Tip. |
